Call for Speakers – 2020 Annual Two-Day

Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey

The 30th Annual Two-Day Conference

December 3-4, 2020 at Crowne Plaza Princeton – Conference Center

Call for Speakers

The Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey (AMTNJ) is hosting our 30th Annual Two-Day Conference at the Crowne Plaza Princeton – Conference Center, 900 Scudders Mill Rd, Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536. This year’s theme for the conference is “In Math, Everyone Counts!”

We would like to invite you to submit a proposal to share your teaching ideas, practices, and expertise by presenting at our conference. Session types include sixty- or ninety-minute workshops, general sessions, or thirty-minute burst sessions.

In addition, this year we would like to offer some non-traditional opportunities for educators to engage with one another, with mathematics teaching, and with mathematics content. These non-traditional experiences could be a math walk, a math escape room, a math scavenger hunt, or an Ignite session, or it could be something completely different! If you are interested in leading or co-leading one of these sessions, please include a description in your speaker proposal.

We hope you will be willing to participate in our conference as a presenter. The speaker proposal form can be accessed at: The deadline for submissions is March 15th, and you will receive notification of your proposal’s final status by the end of April. Speaker registration is free for the lead speaker and up to one co-speaker.

If you have any questions please contact Mark Russo at

Note: In the past, districts have been allowed to reimburse attendees for hotel and food if they attend both days, and the district has approved expenses. We anticipate the same being true this year, and are in the process of applying for a waiver from the state.
