Annual Contests
AMTNJ Mathematics Contest
The 2008 registration form [pdf|word] and contest rules [pdf|word] are now available
- Open to all New Jersey High School school students in public, parochial, and private institutions
- One 45-minute working session with calculators
- Team and individual awards and certificates of achievement
The registration is sent to each school. If you do not recieve one, please contact us. Contest closes each December.

Button Contest
Have your students design a simple button that is catchy and creative! The winner will receive a grade appropriate calculator, and the student's mathematics teacher will receive a free registration to the annual AMTNJ 2-day conference.The 2008 contest is closed, but you may still download the sample entry form [pdf].
Watch this page for the 2009 entry form next January! The contest closes each May.
The Max Sobel Award
Each year the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey (AMTNJ) presents a member of AMTNJ with the Max Sobel Award. If you are interested in nominating someone to receive this year's award, please click here for instructions.
The AMTNJ Annual Scholarship Awards Drive
Each year the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New Jersey (AMTNJ) encourages members to sponsor a scholarship applicant. Scholarship applications are accepted throughout the winter months and the committee makes its final decisions early in the spring. Each application MUST have a CURRENT AMTNJ Member as his/her sponsor. (All memberships are checked). Applicants must also be applying to a college with Math Education as their career goal. Download the scholarship form for 2008 in the upcoming school year. (Please note: AMTNJ Scholarships are supported by membership donations which are fully tax deductible)
The AMTNJ Annual TWO DAY Student Exhibits
A competition for all grade levels. Student-created mathematic projects are judged and prizes awarded for best project in each grade level category. Students, teachers and parents are welcome to view the display at the conference. You can download the flyer and registration form, complete with guidelines for the 2008 Two Day Conference.
AMTNJ Annual Job Fairs
Every March, AMTNJ sponsors an annual job fair in both northern and southern New Jersey. We open registration to all the New Jersey Schools and give them an opportunity to meet with interested AMTNJ members as well as their colleagues and new teacher graduates. Look for our 2008 fairs to be advertised sometime in January.
AMTNJ Mini-Grants
These grants are offered annually, but the deadline for each school year is Dec 31st.
